High School Musical star Zac Efron has been an item with costar Vanessa Hudgens for a long time now, but the two have always avoided confirming the matter until fairly recently.
The paparazzi haven’t exactly helped with the situation.
Efron had been the focus of paparazzi at official events related to projects like High School Musical and Hairspray, but the time a photographer caught Efron and Hudgens “frollicking” on the beach together in Hawaii last year really caught him off guard.
“At that point it was inconceivable,” he said in a recent interview with the magazine Details. “I had no idea that anyone could ever care. That happens to, like, big stars. I woke up and my dad told me that I was in a newspaper on the beach—he made fun of me, he said I was ‘frollicking.’”
Apparently, the photog made a bundle of money with the pics. Efron said that while still on that vacation in Hawaii, “the photographer left me a note with a disc of all the pictures, and on the note it said, ‘Thanks for the Range Rover!’”
You have to give the guy points for being polite, at least.
